User Story

As a player, I want to collect key pickups, so that I can unlock doors, chests, or activate mechanisms needed for progression.

Description

  • Keys are single-use pickups that unlock specific doors, chests, or switches.
  • Some keys are universal, while others are designed for specific locks.
  • Keys are automatically used when interacting with the correct object.
  • Certain keys may be required to progress, while others unlock optional content.

Test Cases

  • Verify that collecting a key adds it to the player’s inventory or key counter.
  • Ensure that keys are removed from the inventory when used.
  • Confirm that keys only work on intended locks or mechanisms.
  • Validate that players cannot use keys incorrectly or on the wrong object.
  • Ensure that visual/audio feedback plays when a key is collected and used.
