User Story

As a player, I want to see and hear feedback when dealing or taking damage, so that I can better understand combat interactions.

Description

  • When dealing damage, enemies flinch, flash, or emit a hit effect.
  • When taking damage, the player flashes, shakes the screen slightly, or plays a damage sound.
  • Hit reactions scale with impact, meaning stronger hits create stronger reactions.

Test Cases

  • Verify that enemies visually react when hit (flinching, flashing, or stagger effects).
  • Ensure that player damage feedback (screen shake, flash, sound effects) activates on hit.
  • Confirm that stronger attacks result in more pronounced hit reactions.
  • Validate that hit sound effects are distinct for different attack types.
  • Ensure that hit reactions do not interfere with gameplay responsiveness.
